DOOLITTLE - "Tronches, the playful collection by Louise Vurpas"

With “Tronches,” Lyon-based designer Louise Vurpas invites us into a playful and colorful universe where childlike faces come to life in gold and precious stones. This new, highly figurative collection was born when she was gifted a teardrop-shaped ruby for the birth of her daughter. From that moment, Louise reflected on a bold way to use this gemstone, which is very classic in jewelry. Diamonds, rubies, sapphires… each piece becomes a small work of art, crafted entirely by hand and exclusively in 18-karat gold in her workshop. Denis picks mushrooms, Paula sells fritters, Louise rides a bike… Each “tronche” is a little story, an invitation to smile. Behind these childlike faces lies a desire to dust off jewelry and make it more accessible, and it works!

LYON CAPITALE - "Great mug"

Designer Louise Vurpas is never short of ideas. Proof of this is her original and joyful “Tronches” collection, which features touching, vibrant, childlike faces. Handcrafted from 18-karat gold and sapphires, the Mini Tronche Paula ring breathes new life into the codes of classic jewelry. A piece full of good humor and boldness, to be worn every day.

SUDNLY - "Louise Vurpas. Contemporary Jewelry"

A 2010 graduate of the prestigious HEAD in Geneva, Louise Vurpas has, over 15 years of practice in her Lyon studio, carved out a unique path in jewelry design.

Far from Swiss minimalism, she invents contemporary forms with a raw beauty that are exhibited in renowned galleries; she confesses a fascination for family heirlooms, which she revisits with goldsmith precision to better highlight their emotional significance; she ventures with wit down unconventional formal paths that shake up traditional jewelry, ranging from geometric design to a playful form of figuration inspired by her daughter, and including virtuosic pieces that custom-update traditional jewelry.

In every creation and behind the lightness of her brand, Bijouterie Fine, the same quest for perfection serves the conviction that jewelry is an intimate medium of art and humanity.

LYON CAPITALE - "Lyonnais expertise"

A trained jeweler, Louise Vurpas designs and creates her jewelry in her workshop on Rue Chavanne. Each piece is 100% handcrafted in Lyon, making it truly unique. Made of vermeil—gold-plated silver—and hand-hammered, this bangle is a staple from the young designer. Chic and minimalist, it is as timeless as it is trendy.

TRIBUNE DE LYON - "Le Kitchen & Louise Vurpas"

This year, just like last year, chefs Connie Zagora and Laurent Ozan from Le Kitchen are renewing their collaboration with Lyon-based jeweler Louise Vurpas. They are offering a galette des rois containing hidden pieces from the jeweler's "Les Tronches" collection, featuring the Magi: Balthazar, Gaspard, and Melchior. By finding one of these silver medals, you might win the Melchior medal in gold and precious stones.

TRIBUNE DE LYON - "Louise Vurpas and everything that glitters"

Since 2010, Louise Vurpas has been designing and crafting jewelry in silver or vermeil (solid silver plated with gold). "I try to make pieces to give as gifts or to treat oneself that last... jewelry you keep for a long time, like earrings or bracelets," says the young woman, who also offers repair services if necessary, with a focus on longevity.

In early 2020, she decided to set up her studio in the 1st arrondissement (leaving the 7th), where she imagined a showcase for her creations while also installing her workshop upstairs, where she creates and customizes vintage jewelry, all while limiting the waste from her business: "As soon as I can, I recycle gold, even the dust."
